It was pointed out to me that this 4-year-old thread indicated that the plates are black power coat. I have stopped powder-coating them because people told me it flaked off and made a mess. Probably the engine heat. I have also changed the socket cap screws to stainless and changed the 10 mm bolts for the bottom half of the driver's side plate to flanged bolts. Next time I have a good picture, I will update the one below.
Anyway, I apologize to anyone who might have purchased the plates, expecting powder coat. I will refund your money if you want to mail them back. Your cost would be about $5 for flat-rate shipping. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Adapter plates are ready for sale.
Description:
These brackets will locate any LS-style engine in the engine compartment of a 2WD or 4WD Gen 3 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota that looks like this:
Just kidding. Like this:
or any Gen 1 1998-2003 Dodge Durango that looks like this
These brackets will work with any that originally had the 3.9/5.2/5.9 Magnum or 3.7/4.7 New Generation Magnum engine. I am not sure about trucks with 4 cylinder engines, but the brackets are returnable in any event that they do not work. They will work for 4WD, just let me know. When you order, I will ask for the engine/trans combo you are taking out, and whether it is 2 or 4WD.
These brackets will use the original motor mounts and perches, with only minor trimming and clearancing. I currently do not offer any transmission adapters, but you can make a template out of cardboard, and have a local welder make one pretty cheap.
