Just wanted to start off by saying thanks for putting up this site. While it may get flamed from the die hard mopar fans, I believe that when it comes to a factory v8 midsize pickup you can't beat a Dakota. They are pretty well built and IMHO are the best looking midsize truck of it's time ever built.
Only downfall is that the factory 5.2 and 5.9 trucks (while good in their day) leave a lot to be desired. With the lsx series engine being so popular, with huge aftermarket support, and at prices mopar fans can only dream of. To me it makes complete sense to combine an lsx engine into a midsize truck built to hold a factory v8. No hacking up an s10 or ranger to stuff a in a v8, worrying about adapting a bigger radiator, squeezing in an electric fan. Been there done that.
So, my hopes for this site is to become the biggest dakota lsx based site for dakota/lsx how to. Wish everyone involved the best of luck, I for one will be keeping an eye open on the progress.

Thanks Jon,
as soon as our plastic block comes in from Vanpelt replicas, we will produce the engine mounts. We just didn't want to wrestle that big motor in and try to get it level with the proper drive angle when a 25 lb replica was available.
Keep viewing and thank you for your support.

LOL.. agreed.. I wrestled an ls1 out of the back of my dakota couple weeks ago. NOT recommended, but I tried lifting the long block by myself, lol. I then went to harbor freight and bought one of their engine stands bolted it to the engine while in the truck and rolled it off. You're going about it the right way.
