Its basically the same but from the end of the engine mounting space of the plate, on mine it stretches down on both sides and also bolts it's self to the transmission bellhousing on the passenger side and down to the differential case and the transmission on the driver side.
But I'll get pictures later on today I'll stop at the shop on my way to work!

That was probably the best picture I could get off my phone. Couldn't get to the shop there was too much traffic.

Ok. I see what you mean. I know the adapter plates I made for you won't work with the LS truck pan. It would probably work if you wanted to buy a holley pan, but it is around $400.
I can make you a set of plates that sets the motor back far enough to clear the axle with the LS truck pan, but it will take me a couple of more days.
If you are going to mock this drivetrain up into that frame without the on, it would be easier. I may have to make you a couple of sets of plates to get the measurements right. I am willing to do that to get the measurements. It will just cost us a little postage.
Let me know what you want to do.

Yeah that would be perfect I'm picking up the transmission tomorrow but I'll mock up the engine tomorrow and take a few pics and measurements and post them here.

Yeah you're exactly right it's gonna have to be moved back 2 inches. And that gives enough wiggle room, just be on the safe side those 2 inches are more than enough

Thanks a lot! And also I'm in the middle of installing the walbro pump and I watched your video and was wondering if you still make that block off plate with the 3/8th fittings. If not could you help with a parts list on what's needed for that?

I don't make that either. Too many variations and not enough interest. It was pretty easy to cut out of sheet steel. If you check out the mod I did to the Durango fuel pump assembly, I used flexible fuel tubing and a bulkhead fitting. It was much easier than the piece I had made for the dakota. I had to take that to someone to have them braze the steel tubing through, and then flare the ends for the quick connect. Check this thread out. lsdak1.freeforums.net/thread/104/walbro-fuel-system-complete-pictures

A little update I got the frame all cleaned up degreased, painted and back to looking brand new. Rewired the whole wiring harness made it standalone and modified it to fit where the stock computer is for the dakota.

Mocking up the engine on the 4wd frame with the new adapter plates. Empty tray case as well for mock up and crossmemebr references. Borg Warner 4472 trasfer case off a cyclone, they can hold well over 1600hp so I'm pretty sure it'll serve me for a while lol just clean it up and paint it to make it look good!

Man, that wiring doesn't look fun. I respect anyone that can do that.
Engine looks good sitting in there. This is yet another variation of the Dakota/Durango frame. I thought all of these had rack and pinion, but this doesn't. Also, the front half of the frame and crossmember are completely different from the Durango I posted.

Hey guys I'm interested in this build because it's 4wd. I currently have a 2002 Durango R/T AWD with the same motor mounts. I would like to see if I could get my hands on a set of LS adapter plates that would let me set an LS motor into my bay without too much trouble. If at all possible I would like to keep the truck pan in the 5.3. I know Casias is doing a Durango build right now that's 4wd with an LS3
Thanks in advance.

I sent Alex a second (third?) set of plates last week. Had to move the motor a little from the original design. Hopefully, he will have feedback and pictures soon.
